Fondazione Officine Saffi has entrusted Donatella Melchiori, in collaboration with Paloma Architects, with the concept and realization of the new headquarters in Milan’s Chinatown district. A former 19th-century glassworks characterised by a fascinating glass and iron ceiling and windows and doors made with the FerroFinestra W75 TB Ottostumm | Mogs system.

A sartorial renovation for the activities of the Fondazione founded in 2011 by Laura Borghi to promote contemporary ceramics at an international level. The essential and minimalist spaces are enriched by a careful choice of materials, colours and made-to-measure windows and doors.

The courtyard of Fondazione Officine Saffi, like an oasis of greenery, becomes a filter towards the city panorama, creating a reserved place that, together with the exhibition gallery, constitutes the fulcrum of the creative environments. Exterior and interior dialogue beautifully thanks to the large windows made of painted steel using the FerroFinestra W75 TB system that echoes the original style of this striking location.
