Highgate

In the ecological corridor of the ancient woodland of Highgate Woods in North London a 1970s brick and timber clad house has been transformed into a contemporary residence that preserves a historic soul. The project, curated by Studio Tashima and featured in Elle Decoration UK and The Daily Telegraph, has created spacious, bright and fluid interiors, with high ceilings and a strong connection to the outdoors, maximising both the indoor spaces and the garden.

The house blends a contemporary language with traditional references, integrating beautifully into the neighbourhood. Arches, reclaimed materials and steel windows made with the FerroFinestra W40 system contribute to giving the building a welcoming, lived-in character.
