The Chancery Rosewood in Grosvenor Square occupies the former United States Embassy in London, a magnificent 1950s building designed by Eero Saarinen and restored by David Chipperfield Architects. Its celebrated Modernist façade is distinguished by the iconic gilded details that define its architectural character.
The façade’s windows were recreated using the thermally broken FerroFinestra W50 TB steel system. This solution made it possible to preserve the original purity of the design and slender proportions while meeting today’s requirements for security, thermal insulation, and acoustic performance.

The restoration carefully preserved most of Saarinen’s original architectural details, including the original brass handles, which were recovered and adapted to operate with new multi-point locking systems.
